Radical Engineering can provide cost analysis of your automotive and motorcycle parts. We can evaluate alternate materials, manufacturing methods, heat treatment, surface finishes, etc. We can help decide whether hard tooling is justified when quantities will be increasing. When quantities are low a combination of hand manufacturing or limited tooling may be the most cost effective methods of manufacturing. Minimum charges for material or heat treating and/or surface finishes may help determine the most efficient run size. Many times, more parts can be ran just as cheaply as a smaller quantity due to minimum charges for material and surface finishes. Material choice can affect not only the cost of the material, but the cost of heat treating or surface finishing. We can assist in obtaining mold or casting tooling for parts that need to be cast, forged or molded.
When competing against foreign supplied parts it is necessary to optimize every aspect of design and manufacturing to keep costs low. Some parts with high volume will continue to be less expensive to manufacture offshore, but low to medium quantities can be produced domestically with competitive costs. By producing the parts domestically we are helping to ensure a healthy manufacturing economy.
Let Radical Engineering put our 30+ years manufacturing experience to work for you.
